THE OKE DEN PHOTOGRAPHY
Orhei Vechi (Old Orhei)
From June 2016 to July 2018, I lived and worked in Moldova as a Peace Corps Volunteer. You can read more about my time there here. Orhei Vechi (or Old Orhei) is probably the most well-known and most visited destination in Moldova outside of Chisinau. It is also one of the most gorgeous. Orhei Vechi is comprised of a centuries old cave monastery and also is one of the earliest settled sites in Moldova. On top of that, there are also stunningly beautiful views and the surrounding area has numerous caves and even the well-preserved remains of a Turkish Bath. Read about my first visit to Orhei Vechi here, and my second visit here.
