I traveled to Romania in the summer of 2017 with my parents.  The first stop on our trip was to visit Bran Castle, and we then headed on our way to the medieval walled city of Brasov.  Bran Castle was built in 1388 and is located in the heart of Transylvania.  Brasov dates to 1211 and many buildings date to the 1500s or even earlier and has a remarkably well-preserved historical center.  We really enjoyed our time here and visited plenty of medieval-time buildings and sites.  Read more about our visit to Bran Castle here and our time in Brasov here.
