In the spring of 2014, I spent three weeks travelling throughout Peru with a group of fellow students and Spanish professor from my college in the United States.  We traveled, visited numerous Inca sites, trekked to Machu Picchu, spent time in Cusco, and studied Peruvian literature and history.  We took a day trip out to Chinchero, Ollantaytambo, and Pisac, all historical sites within the greater Cusco area.  At Chinchero, we learned how women there prepare wool for yarn, including the dyeing process.  At Ollantaytambo, we climbed the stairs all the way to the top.  We ended our day at Pisac, where we were met with very strong winds.  Read more about my visit to Chinchero, Ollantaytambo, and Pisac here.
